Mardene
Mardene has had a TIA (mini-stroke) and is in the hospital. You can send her a card to 11 Birch St , Watseka IL 60970. She is resting and they will do tests on her Monday.
I remember Aunt Mardene when I was 6 - 8...she lived with Aunt Dorothy and Dora out in St. Anne...the front yard was pretty sandy and had a lot of sand burrs, which were deadly for a kid who didn't put any shoes on in the summertime unless he had to. Aunt Mardene was the sweetest person, didn't talk much, but had a record player that she enjoyed playing records on and would sit on the porch watching the record go round and round. Sometimes sang to the tunes, but I can't tell you what the music was. Mike M.
