Charles Walwer

WATSEKA - Visitation for Charles L. Walwer, 59, of Watseka, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. John Coney will officiate.
Burial with graveside military rites will be in Prairie Dell Cemetery, Iroquois.
Memorials may be made to the Charles L. Walwer Memorial Fund.
Mr. Walwer died Friday (May 2, 1997) in Jefferson, Ohio.
He was born July 4, 1937, in St. Anne, the son of Charles W. and Grace Easter Walwer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Emilie ''Tina'' Altemeier, whom he married June 17, 1989, in St. Petersburg, Fla., of Watseka; his mother, Grace Walwer of Watseka; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathrine and Wayne Schwartz of Hoopeston, Pamela and John Burch of Watseka; three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Valorie Walwer of Watseka, Donald and Keiko Walwer of San Diego, Calif., Scott and Chris Walwer of Martinton; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Danny Mizer of Cleveland, Ohio, Debra and Donald Lynch of Jefferson, Ohio; one sister, Mary Fry of Winterhaven, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Walwer of Winterhaven, Fla., and Dennis Walwer of Watseka; and 21 grandchildren.
Deceased are his father, one son, Brian, and one sister, Katherine.
Mr. Walwer was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the Watseka VFW.
