Grandpa Arnolds Bib Overalls

He was indeed a tall man, about 6' 4". His Father, Nathan was very tall too according to Etta Arnold, daughter of Ernst. His brother Ernst was always known as "Big Boy Arnold" and his uncle that was murdered in the Arnold-Norton shootout was called " Big Jim Arnold." Mom kept her Dad's Bibbies, Pay Day brand, union made for J C Penny's after he was killed in a car wreck in 1952. She gave them to me before she moved from Kankakee many years ago. I'm posting this on Aunt Dorothy's 82nd birthday.

Dorothy Arnold turns 82 today!

Here is the birthday girl with her baby Victoria Gail Arnold. Today she is an even bigger baby!

Richie Davis

About 7 years ago I bought this postcard at an antique store in Chebanse. The guy in front of that '59 Buick convertible is Richie Davis! We worked together at Ropers in the 60's. I tracked him down in St Anne but he wasn't home. Then one day, Mom, Marilyn Rose and I stopped by and I gave him a copy.  He had a good laugh and said he didn't know the post card even existed. He passed away and his memorial service is this weekend.

Thorson Family

Sherwood and  Edith.
Betty, Linda, Joyce, Jerry.

I believe this was taken at the Charlie Neal farm near Martinton. Betty was born in 1943 so I'm guessing this was about 1950.
