Purpose of this blog is to record info for the network of the extended family and friends of Lucille Cousin. I have most of Mom's pictures and stuff and want to share them. Rich Miller SR

McVey Boys 1963
James Lynch, Michael McVey, Pat McVey, Richard Arthur
I remember this...sitting on the couch in Aunt Lucille's house while the family took pictures of the reuniting with our Mom, Gertrude...we boys have talked about this picture on more than one occasion, and with mixed emotions. Personally, I think our lives turned out better as a result of being adopted to other families. I ended up on a farm and learned how to be self-reliant and self-employed...good tools for all that followed. Also learned a few practical skills that came in handy as a father and homeowner. Of course, if Seth McVey had gone out to Disney and become an illustrator -- apparently when Disney was starting up Dad had a shot at working for him -- things would have traveled a different path, too. In any case, I always look at this picture and see four guys with a lot of potential and enthusiasm, with the whole world ahead of them. Mike M.
mike has much better memories of seth than I do. but I do remember the picture taking and gertrude came in around this time from peoria with everett. must have been very difficult for her I have a drawing that seth made of me when I was child and it is actually very good.
