Mom knew them and attended both of their wakes along with her sister Edith. Edith knew their dad Harry fairly well after he and Pearle were divorced and he remarried and lived near Kempton. He would often eat in the restruant where Edith worked. He is buried next to Pearle. Uncle Welty lived on a farm just about a mile SE of Porters back in the 1950/60 time period. My wife Barbara lived a mile east of Welty's on a farm back then and everyone knew about the lion. They had a "Woody" station wagon to haul it around. Aunt Tevis told me how her parents made her be good when they went to visit the Porters because they didn't want to disturb the lion!
